After a long silence, I am back! For the last few months, I have still being reading Brooklyn Vegan's blog pretty religiously and have been tring to catch a show here and there.

I stopped by Don Hill's on Friday night to see Lauren Harris, daughter of Iron Maiden guitarist Steve Harris, make her NYC debut. (This may have been her first US show as well). All I can say is that she is an impressive performer. Both Lauren and her band were top-notch and had none of the typical awkwardness that up-and-coming acts often have. She played a 35 minute set that left the crowd wanting more. I am very interested to hear her soon to be released CD.
