The Eidolons Play First Live Show Tomorrow at Club Rehab

The Eidolons have just finished their debut CD, No One Ever Sticks Around That Long (Sept. '08 release date), and are playing their first live show tomorrow night at Club Rehab. The Eidolons' new disc sounds great and the band has posted a cut from this disc, "Amber", as a free download.

Tomorrow night's show is FREE and doors are at 7PM.

The Saints Bring The "Imperious Delirium" Tour to the NYC Area

Australian punk-pioneers, The Saints return to New York for the "Imperious Delirium" tour and play three shows in the area starting on October 30th.



The Saints are touring behind their latest release "Imperious Delirium" which was just released on Wildflower Records in the US. The new CD is great (here is a link to my review of the disc) and I would expect the band's live show to be equally strong.

10/30- Maxwell's- HOBOKEN, NJ
10/31- Little Steven's Underground Garage Present Halloween A Go-Go- NYC
10/31- Club Midway- NYC

The Saints just announce their appearance at Little Steven's Halloween show. Here are the details -- The Saints will be playing with The Chesterfield Kings and Garage Girls A Go-Go. The show is in Times Square at the Hawaiian Trop Zone, 729 7th Ave at 49th Street. Tickets are $15 and include a free drink and a special collectible laminate. The Saints play at 10pm (which means that the Club Midway show will likely start after Midnight).

Star Spangles Play Club Midway Next Week + Live Radio Show Posted

The Star Spangles are like the Energizer Bunny - they just keep going and going. I don't think the band is bringing in the crowds that they used to but the Star Spangles are still a great live act. The band is playing a show at Club Midway on October 30th with The XFrames and Another Saturday Night. Tickets are only $8.00

For anyone who hasn't heard the current lineup of the band or the new CD "Dirty Bomb", here is a link to a 7-song recording of the band performing live in the studio for FM 107.1 The Peak's Next Concert. The set is an interesting mix of tunes from the first two CDs along with two yet-to-be-recorded tracks.

Made Out of Babies and Unearthly Trance Play Club Midway on Monday, April 16th

I almost didn't notice this show which I would have regretted as it looks like a great lineup of bands.

TimeOut's advance preview says "Made Out of Babies takes NYC rock back to the sewer where it belongs. Singer Julie Xmas goes from girl-child to Cookie Monster with a pervasive f*cked-up-ness that's only amplified by the rhyth, section's chthonic rumble and the guitarist's theatening riffage."

Opening acts Unearthly Trance, Minsk and Rwake are all on Relapse so that should say something for their sound.
