Today Show Announces Summer Concert Series

The Today Show posted the lineup for their summer concert series (below). I wouldn't mind checking out Blondie with Lily Allen. Does anyone know if the bands do a soundcheck or play anything that isn't on the air? I went to a Today Show taping once in the late 90s to see The Pretenders and was probably better off staying home and watching it on TV. The band came right out and started playing -- no soundcheck, no interaction with the crowd, etc. So, between dodging out-of-staters wanting to hold their "[My state] Rocks" signs right in front of me and the band not doing anything that wasn't aired on TV, taking time off from work for the taping didn't seem worth the effort.

A counterpoint to this is that I saw the Bruce Springsteen taping for Good Morning America. He played during the commercials, he played after the taping and it was well worth the drive to Asbury.

Appreciate any comments that anyone may have...
