Local rockers Ford & Fitzroy are starting a three week residency at Piano's later this month. The shows are Thursday nights, starting July 12th, and each show starts at 10PM. With influences such as The Flaming Lips, Pavement, Phil Spector and Neil Young, Ford & Fitzroy use these legends and their enthusiasm for catchy 50’s melodies to weave their eclectic new sound. The New York City based band got their name from Van Morrison’s song Madame George, an eight minute opus from the album Astral Weeks, one of the major influences on the band’s song writing.
