The Volunteers Play The Studio at Webster Hall on June 6thThe Volunteers kick off their "Life of Glamour" summer tour tonight at Webster Hall. The band is heading out on their first nationwide tour in support of their latest disc Spectrophilia, which was released last September.

Online 'zine JerseyBeat.com described The Volunteers as "old-fashioned rock 'n' roll band with a modern swagger and a raunchy bark. Their new album Spectrophilia raises the bar for classic rock in the new millennium." In other press coverage, The Volunteers just made High Times' "unsigned band of the month" list.

On the bill with The Volunteers are The Steps and Young Lords; tickets are $12.00 and doors are at 7:30PM.

For anyone who misses tonight's show, The Volunteers are playing at Red Star (37 Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn) next Saturday night.
