Matthew Sweet released his 10th disc, Sunshine Lies, in on Shout ! Factory in August and the full tour behind this release starts in October. Sweet is playing Webster Hall on October 28th.

On Sunshine Lies, Matthew is again playing with long-time collaborators Richard Lloyd (guitar), Ric Menck (drums), Ivan Julian (guitar) and Greg Leisz (guitar/pedal steel guitar). Susanna Hoffs guests on the disc and sings backing vocals on the title track. Sweet describes the new disc as "very direct, but seen through the eyes of nature, or rather modeled on its beauty, chaos and freedom, something like a stab at sonic art nouveau."

Tickets for the Webster Hall show are $25.00 and the support act is The Bridges.
