DOWNLOAD: Heroes of Popular Wars - "It's A Doozy" (from 2009's Church and Mcdonald)
Brooklyn-to-LA transplants Heroes of Popular Wars just released a new video for "It's a Doozy", which is from the band's 2009 release Church and Mcdonald, which is available as a free download from HOPW's website.
In reviewing the latest disc, the UK-based blog "The Devil Has the Best Tuna" wrote "[i]t's difficult to pick out just a couple of tracks on an album that is best heard in full from start to finish but special mention should be made of the dance inflected 'A Bus Called Further' a Steely Dan homage, 'She's A Microscope' which starts out as a slow, candy-coated pop song that builds and builds before exploding like a bomb in a synth factory and 'American Loser', a two-part pop song/dirge that sounds like Kevin Shields playing tug of war with 80's Peter Gabriel."
