Roby Coast Release Two Song Download in Advance of Forthcoming LP // Show at Pianos on Oct. 17th Aurora, Ontario's Ruby Coast are playing a run of tour dates next month in advance of their (likely-to-be big label) full length debut which is due out sometime next year.

The last time the world heard from Ruby Coast, it was amidst a whirlwind of commotion caused by their 2008 self-released EP "Projectable Collections". What followed the release for the then-teenagers was a landmark 2009: an Eastern Canada jaunt supporting Passion Pit, a 30-date US tour with Tokyo Police Club and Ra Ra Riot, dates at SXSW, NXNE and Halifax Pop Explosion. Naturally, a whole truckload of buzz and interest from major North American indie labels followed. Rather than marrying any of the first few suitors through the door, Ruby Coast exercised patience and strategy wise beyond their years, opting instead to get hard at work writing and preparing their first full-length - a gem to pry open any label door. In spring 2010, Ruby Coast entered Montreal's famed Hotel2Tango studio and, under the guidance of producer super-duo Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Basia Bulat) and Brian Paulson (Wilco, Dinosaur Jr, Beck), Ruby Coast laid down a record that promises to be worth the wait to 2011.

Ruby Coast re-enter the frame with unbridled enthusiasm in the form of two brand new songs from the upcoming album, two new videos, and a whack load of North American tour dates - over a full year since their last tour. The tour runs the gamut across eastern Canada and the States, hitting frosh week shows, Pop Montreal, and Northern US dates, before wrapping up at CMJ in New York City.

The bulk of the band’s US dates are in support of D.C./Philadelphia buzz band Jukebox the Ghost’s album release tour. Jukebox the Ghost invited Ruby Coast to join the dates, including their hometown Release Party on October 16, as fans of the band’s 2008 EP.
