Coney Island Mermaid Parade Is Next Saturday (June 23rd)

One of the highlights of the summer is the annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade. The parade is taking place next Saturday (June 23rd) and starts at 2PM.


The all-girl tribute Motley Crue tribute band, Girls Girls Girls, is playing a show at Peggy O'Neil's (@ Keyspan Park) at a parade after-party. The show starts at 8PM and admission is free.

Agnostic Front Plays Coney Island In August

Agnostic Front is starting a three week tour on July 18th which they are calling the East Coast Fury Tour. The band is playing the first week with (the fabulous) Municipal Waste, Hoods and Pledge of Resistance. For the later two weeks (which includes two dates in the area), the band is playing with Subzero, Hoods and Pledge of Resistance.

Product Shop seems to have the inside scoop on the Siren Festival lineup as I haven't seen this info anywhere else online.

The free festival will feature the New York Dolls, Matt & Kim, We Are Scientists, Black Lips, Dr Dog, Lavender Diamond, Detroit Cobras, Elvis Perkins, and The Twilights Sad.

The show is July 21st. With a great lineup of bands and this being the festival's last year -- get there early!
