Manorexia (JG Thirlwell) make their only NYC appearance this year with a show at The Stone on Thursday. This is part of JG Thirlwell's month long curatorship at the club.
There are shows at 8PM and 10PM and admission is $10 per set. The Stone's website describes the show as "JG Thirlwell's avant-chamber ensemble will present arrangements from the first two Manorexia albums".

JG (Foetus) Thirlwell Makes a Rare NYC Appearance with Manorexia
Jim Thirlwell (Foetus) makes a rare NYC appearance with a November 2nd show at the Whitney Museum with his Manorexia ensemble. Thirlwell will also present several pieces he has composed with the LEMUR robot instruments and string quartet.
The concert is a Composer Spotlight and part of the Friday Night concert series hosted by the Whitney Museum.
The show starts at 7pm and is free.

J.G Thirlwell's Manorexia
at the Bang On A Can Marathon at the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center, New York City.
This year's Bang On A Can Marathon is an incredible 26 hour concert. It is free and will feature performances by many artists including the Bang on a Can Allstars, Ethel, Real Quiet, The Books, Iva Bittova, Mashriq, ICE, Dalek, Yo La Tengo and many more. There will also be performances of works by Steve Reich, Brian Eno, Louis Andriessen, Edgar Varese, Thurston Moore, Meredith Monk, Alvin Lucier, Michael Gordon, Julia Wolfe, David Lang and many more.
Manorexia will perform on Sunday afternoon at around 2pm.
This version of Manorexia will comprise of David Cossin-percussion, Felix Fan - Cello, Andy Russo-piano , Leyna Papach - violin , Elena Park - violin , Karen Waltuch - viola and JG Thirlwell - laptop. (Cossin, Fan and Russo also comprise the ensemble Real Quiet)
