Jim Thirlwell (Foetus) makes a rare NYC appearance with a November 2nd show at the Whitney Museum with his Manorexia ensemble. Thirlwell will also present several pieces he has composed with the LEMUR robot instruments and string quartet.
The concert is a Composer Spotlight and part of the Friday Night concert series hosted by the Whitney Museum.
The show starts at 7pm and is free.

DJ Scientific and Dana Live at the Whitney Museum Tonight
The Whitney Museum coninues its series of Friday night performances with DJ Scientific and Dana Leong.Remixer extraordinaire Elan Vytal (a.k.a. DJ Scientific) and multi-instrumentalist Dana Leong lead a hip-hop driven electronic music exploration of compassion and counterculture. Accompanied by a troupe of dancers and musicians, DJ Scientific and Leong embody the essence of the collective energy and spirit in the face of one of the most violent periods of American history. Presented in conjunction with SOZO.
Next Friday, Dirty Projectors perform reconstructions and reinterpretations of Black Flag's Damaged album.
The Whitney is located at 945 Madison Avenue (@ 75th Street) and the show starts at 6PM.
