The Wildhearts are taking a break from recording their 10th full-length album (tentatively entitled Chutzpah) in Copenhagen and are playing two shows in the area this weekend.
The first show is Friday night (March 13th) at Maxwell's in Hoboken. The Wildhearts are playing with The Dirty Pearls, Sorry and The Sinatras and The Breakers. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
The second show is at Bowery Ballroom on Saturday March 14th. Tickets are $20 and The Wildhearts are playing with J-Roddy Walston and The Business, Sorry and the Sinatras and Russo.
The Wildhearts were formed by x-(London) Quireboy Ginger and "[t]he band's sound is a mixture of hard rock and melodic pop music, often described in the music press as combining influences as diverse as The Beatles and 1980s-era Metallica."
