The long awaited Germs' bio pic opens tomorrow at the Sunshine Cinema (143 Houston) in the Village. After 15 years in the making, it is great to see the film completed and getting great reviews (link).
Both the band and director Rodger Grossman are in town and will be in attendance at some of the screenings.
On Friday:
- Pat, Lorna, Don, and Shane along with Rodger Grossman and actor Noah Segan (plays Don in the film) and actress Bijou Phillips (plays Lorna) will be on hand for a Q&A after the 5:30PM show. They will also be giving the intro before the 8:05PM show.
On Saturday:
- The Q&A is after the 8:05PM show and the intro is before the 10:30PM show. Note though that Pat is not listing as being at either of the screenings on Saturday.
The band is playing tomorrow night at Blender Theater @ Gramercy with the L.E.S. Stitches and Murphy's Law. I just received an email that if you buy two tickets at the Sunshine Cinema box office, you will get a free tickets to The Germs' show tomorrow. (Note: this was listed as a limited offer)
Tickets for the concert are $20 and tickets for the movie are $13.
